Mariana Jiménez-Huerta
Co-Chair, Law, Regulation and Resilience Policies, Insurance Development Forum (IDF)
Mariana joined Prudential plc, the Asia and Africa focused life and health insurer and asset manager, in 2012, and works with regulators, governments and policy makers across Prudential’s markets and international institutions. She is Co-Chair of the LRRP working group at the Insurance Development Forum (IDF).
Mariana started her career in the banking sector working for Citibank in the Global Transaction Services (GTS) for corporate groups. Then moved into product development for Micro-finance solutions.
Prior to joining Prudential, Mariana was an academic at Queen Mary University of London, School of Politics and International Relations, doing research
on the international political economy of monetary policy and global financial regulation, with particular focus on Latin America.
Mariana holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in International Political Economy from The University of Manchester and a Masters in International Studies from the University of Leeds, UK.
