Kate Chiew

Group Chief Risk Officer, Great Eastern  

Kate Chiew is the current Group Chief Risk Officer of Great Eastern, the largest composite insurer in Singapore responsible for the organisation Compliance and Enterprise risk management. Prior to Great Eastern, she was appointed CRO of NTUC Income in 2012 and later on as Chief Investment Officer responsible for over USD 32 billion of asset under management.

Kate has over 24 years of experience in the Insurance and banking sector with several multinational insurers, Investment banks and consultancy covering North America, UK, EU and South East Asia. Her past experienced include managing of investment and hedging strategy for insurance and Pension funds, asset liability and capital management, securitization solution, Enterprise Risk and Actuarial Management.

She is a fully qualified actuary with the American Society of Actuary and a charter holder (CFA) with the Charter Financial Advisor Institute.
